Quilts and Girls
I got a paying quiting job last week. My next door neighbor came over and said she needed a quilt for her first grand-baby that she was going to a shower for in a week. I went through some ideas and we decided that I would make this in the boy colors. She didn't think white would be good for the middle so I did blue instead.
Here is a close up of my quilting and the minky back I put on it! So soft and cuddly.
This week I decided to use up the rest of the layer cake that I got from this shop in the fabric called tweet tweet by keiki for moda. I made another baby quilt, probably a girl one. I drew it up on a piece of paper and put it together and this is how it turned out:
I did a different motif on each of the circles, this one is my favorite: The butterfly is one from the fabric prints.
And here is a loopy flower that is also from the fabric, sorry its kinda blurry
When I was laying out my fabric before I sewed it together, the girls wanted to do one of their own, so I had a few squares leftover and here is "Allie's quilt"
And Marlee wanted to say CHEESE too!
Oh they are so stinkin cute, I can't get enough of them. On Thursday we went up to Brigham to the pool with my sisters and my friend Darci and her kids. I took the camera but didn't get many pictures, these are the only two to be exact.
One of Marlee and one of Kytie holding Taycie. It was fun all of us took turns watching and holding Taycie in the shade while the others swam.
