Small update, getting a new computer!

So all of my pictures and stuff I download on to my desktop, it isn't cooperating with me very well. We are getting a new computer in a few days so I have a lot to catch up on. I owe 4 posts so far so I will get to work when I get it all hooked up!

We have been hiking once a week and found a new trail this week that is BAD BAD BAD (at least for me) and it leads to a cabin! Brad is super excited for it one day soon we are going to go all the way up to it and stay the night in it. It is about 5 miles up but it is KILLER. Super steep and rocky. WE are also on week 3 of P90X of working out every day. It is going good, I've been sore for 3 weeks straight but I am definetly feeling stronger too. I ran the 5k on Saturday. I trained for it as much as I could but I'm not a fast runner. I have endurance though. I sprinted really hard at the beginning for a little bit and then jogged the entire way no stopping to walk at all, and then I sprinted really hard at the end too. I was really proud of myself but my goal was 28 and I didn't make it. I got 34:21, I don't know why I can't run really fast but I need to find a way how before my next race! It is on June 12th in Bear Lake I'm doing the 10k.

Marlee is so fun lately, she is talking a lot and really understands things. This morning she got her shoes and gave them to me and sat down so I could put them on her. Then she got her jacket and gave it to me to put on her, she marches her feet like she is really excited and shakes her head yes and says "jackie" (that means jacket). She got up really quick and started running out of the room saying "Bompa!". She really thought if she got on her stuff she could go see grandpa. She loves seeing grandpa and says it all of the time.
She is getting smart knowing what things are like her body parts and clothes and animals and stuff too. She always tells me "potty" too, I take her to the potty just to make her happy but she doesn't understand it yet I think she just says it because Allie still has to tell me every time too. She has gone pee in the potty quite a few times though.

Anyway, we've been doing a lot of other things too but I will post all of that really soon when I can!!

On Friday morning, Zack and Brad and I went on the hike up Adams Canyon right by our house. Brad and I went on Tuesday, but I couldn't make it farther than the bridge. Here we are at the bridge. But Thursday night, Cassie slept over so we could all go in the morning on Friday at 6:30.
We made it to a waterfall that was pretty far:

Then there was an even better waterfall at the top! This is what everyone goes up there to see:

Its not easy hiking, this is some of the stuff we had to do:

We were to the top at 7:30, took some pictures and drank some water then RAN down. We made it back to the bottom (3.5 miles) in 25 minutes! I love running down hill, its not like you are even running at all its just like you are stopping yourself from falling.

We just met our next door neighbors on the east side of us, they live in St. George for the cold months. Their yard was in need of some help and the guy was going to do it all by himself, and he is pretty old so I wanted to volunteer Brad to help him. :) Brad wouldn't do it unless I helped too. SO our whole family went over and turned this:

Into this:

in only an hour. Pretty good I think! NOW we need to work on OUR yard.
In our house there is a breakfast nook by the kitchen and over in the entry hallway there is a formal dining room. Ever since we moved here it has been the "Dancing" room because we only have our one small table and use it by the kitchen. Well, I saw a yard sale in my neighborhood and picked up this for a really low price.

Its pretty big (that big plus one more leaf) and had six chairs that looked like this:

Well I changed that and now they look like this:

It is great to be eating dinner now and not have to see the mess in the kitchen. We had a really productive week, well at least I feel like I did. I also made a quilt that measures 88 x 96 the biggest I've ever done. I'm anxious to quilt it!

I love it, so I'm keeping it!

I've been wanting to make a Cathedral Windows pillow for a while, so I finally did! It was a lot of work but I really really love it! I've been making things for other people lately so this one I'm definetly keeping for myself. I sat it by me when I was eating dinner and kept looking at it. I found the tutorial here, its not very hard just time consuming.

And I finished this pillow that I made for Allie. We were making some pillows for Grandma Jackie a while ago and when we went to the store to get the fabric, she wanted to make Grandma some pillows with Dora fabric. So we got some and made a pillow for her instead.

If you promise not to tell, I'll show you the Mother's Day presents a day early. Last week my Mom was at the BYU Womens Conference, so I cleaned her laundry room. It wasn't that simple. I worked for TWELVE hours non stop and had Chelsy's help for six hours. It was a mess. It was my mom's plan for the whole summer, so now her summer is free! That was my mother's day present for her too. When she saw it she asked how many weeks it took me to do it. I told her it just took me one day! She was so amazed I was so happy to make her happy.
Okay so I also made my Mom and Brad's Mom some purses. This one is Jackie's:

This is the inside, LOVE it! The fabric is Tweet Tweet by Keiki for Moda and the pattern is the Bella Bag from Anka's Treasures.

And THIS one is for my Mom:
A little less colorful, but I think it will suit her well.
I hope they have a Happy Mothers Day! ...and all the Mothers, we HAVE to be awesome!
