Castle Park

Driving in Kaysville the other night, we drove past the coolest park! It is a castle! It is all made of wood and has a lot of really cool stuff. So the next morning we went to it. Allie brought her friend Janie, her and Allie are going to be in preschool together and they are best friends.
So here is Marlee in front of the entrance:
When we first got there, Allie just ran off while I was walking slow with Marlee. Allie found me and said, "Mom! Come see the hot dog walk!" I didn't have any idea what she was talking about. So we went around the corner and sure enough it was a hot dog walk. The red plastic covers over the chains made it look like hot dogs.

I think this is our favorite park of all time, there are so many things at it. Usually at parks there is one big slide and one baby slide. At this park there were 2 big slides, 2 tube slides, and an entire area for toddlers that was smaller stairs, smaller bridges, and smaller slides. There was a sand box, lots of ladders and rock climbing walls, lots of bridges and balcony type things.

There were fun swings, and this one tire swing that could spin in circles and swing back and forth. Here is Allie and Janie on the tire swing:

And here are all the girls on this fun dragon. We were all glad that it didn't blow fire!

I've been having a lot of fun making purses lately along with my quilts. I found a new pattern that I am loving. The first bag I made with it I sent to Brad's sister Kayla in St. George. I made it for her to use at college, the bag is really heavy duty and lined with canvas so it would be perfect to carry books and stuff.
I took it to my Mom's house when I finished to show them it because I loved it so much. My sister Chelsy was super jealous and wanted me to make her one to take to college when she goes. She is going to Snow College in Ephriam next month and is way excited. So I started thinking about how to make it for her and hav it fit her personality. She is kind of a cowgirl, loves all cowgirl stuff and expecially loves brown and yellow and red. There is this really cool fabric at Wal-mart that looks like tooled leather and has a paisley and flowery design that is really pretty. Chelsy got some and put it on her bulletin board for her room and I made a pillow for her bed from it too. She wanted the bag to be made with that and also have a cowgirl theme. So the outside is the tooled leather and the lining and tie around it is tan with red horseshoes and blue stars. I love the red binding with it too. She can fit her laptop and her books and her personal things in it and it is really heavy duty so it will never rip or break. I'm so proud of it and she loves it and it fits her so well!

Summer Happenings

This is kinda backwards but I will start with the most recent first. We have been members of the Treehouse Museum in Ogden for about a year now. It was well worth the $40! We go there a lot in the winter and now a lot in the summer. Allie loves everything there and Marlee has really started to like it too. So much that on Friday she ran away and I couldn't find her for 10 minutes because she ran away so fast! Here are the girls in the canoe:

And here is Marlee playing with the princesses and has her super cheesy smile on:

The girls also like to play with the "paper dolls" They are magnetic and not made out of paper but they are the same concept.Allie go to be in a play when it was story time. She did really good and was way cute and excited to be in her first play on the stage. My Gran-Betty and Papas came from Colorado, actually my mom went last week and got them and drove them here. I haven't seen them since me and Allie went there with my mom when I was pregnant with Marlee. So its been 2 years, and Brad hasn't seen them since our wedding and they haven't come here since then.

Here is Marlee meeting Papas for the first time, she absolutely loved him. Allie did too of course!

My niece Taycie came to my Moms too while I was there and I got to help bath her and then she snuggled up to Grandma and they both fell asleep:

I love to see a tiny baby again, and she is so precious and beautiful.
We miss our pool that we had at our house last year so we have only been swimming 3 times and have to improvise with sprinklers and water balloons. Here are the girls having fun in the sprinklers:
Cassie graduated from Massage Therapy school, here is the fam at her graduation, we are so proud of her!

Here are the girls on Monday July 5th before we went to the parade. They wanted to get their picture in front of the flag that gets put in front of our house on special holidays. They think it is pretty cool.
We went to the Nelson Family Reunion again without Brad on July 2-3rd. I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures which is sad because Allie had a lot of fun playing in a little playhouse with her second cousins. There was a tee pee that they played in too and a pond that had canoes that they rode in. When we got home I was un-packing the car and the camera was under the passenger seat! I had it all along and didn't even know, I guess my brain is on vacation far far away but I hope its having fun.
We found a really cool park I will post about soon, I haven't really wanted to be on the computer at all lately so it is pretty hard.
